Design is based on ideas and creativity is made of ideas. Therefore, extraordinary design is based upon the artist’s ideas and visions. Great design catches one’s eye and keeps their attention until they’ve explored every single detail in the composition. I am a designer. To me, the great photographer, David LaChapelle, displays extraordinary design in his work. His photos grab my attention and I end up getting lost in his pictures, exploring the world he has created. Good design helps one’s thoughts flow within the elements of it. I am a soul gazer, often trying to convey emotions and show a little bit of my soul in my images. I have full trust in myself and believe it is necessary to trust your abilities and know your limitations. This provides for a smooth road to the final image. This is an example of how flow is important in design. Thierry Le Goues does an amazing job with arranging the human body for perfect flow in his series called Soul. He uses the familiarity of the body to create something beyond it. The Human Soul. Design makes us think and make associations with the familiar things in our lives. I lean towards the unconventional. To me design is exploring the unfamiliar, or presenting the familiar in unusual ways. My desire is to create images that make people wonder, trying to figure out what the image represents. I'm inspired by abstract art and love the works of a German expressionist Franz Marc. His “The fate of the animals” inspires me to design because, to me, using shapes like he did to create emotions is extraordinary. I am a visionary, mainly seeing in colour and noticing the astonishing arrangements of it in everyday life. I'm also very drawn to intricate arrangements of lines and shapes. As a creative thinker, I possess the ability to see design in improbable places. Photography is my medium of choice and it's also something I would love to explore at a greater depth by choosing it as a major. I am a photographer. This form of art makes it easy for me to express myself. Photography can be a challenge when it comes to creativity and difference because it is really easy to photograph beautiful subjects and stay true to what the world looks like. In some fields of photography, it is even necessary to do so. For me, the challenge is to keep my photography accessible to others. I love making abstract pieces. I am an artist. I base my images on creativity, starting with shutting my eyes and focusing on the ideas that I have inside. I believe that in the four years of practice I have grown beyond just seeing beautiful things and now am able to express myself through photography. One of my greatest achievements as an artist was being able to inspire a fellow student to see the world a little differently. In the future, I would love to continue studying the concept of creativity and inspire people on a large scale.
